Sunday Table: Cheddar Jalapeño Crackers (dairy-free)
Basically adult cheez-its with a twist
Hello!!
Has anyone else’s Instagram feed been taken over by snack plates? No? Just me? Honestly I’m verrry into it.
In my opinion every good snack plate needs a combination of things - veggies, fruits, crackers and bonus points for anything else (like nuts, seeds, dips, etc.).
I see a post in my future where we deep dive into snack board ideas. Buuuut today’s post is about one specific component of every great snack board: crackers.
The crackers above are the Trader Joe’s savory mini crackers and, while good, they weren’t screaming summer like everything else on the plate.
Soooo, enter cheddar jalapeño crackers aka adult cheez-its.
Did I mention they are really easy to make? You just toss everything in a food processor and you have a perfect dough.
P.S. I use this food processor and I have no complaints. I’ve had it a few years and it works great!
But back to these crackers, they’re cheesy, salty, and just mildly spicy (but you can increase the amount of jalapeño for a spicier cracker!).
In my opinion this is very much a dance around in the kitchen recipe.
It’s quick… it’s fun…it’s just an overall good time!
Not to mention I need upbeat songs in my life right now because the 95F weather in LA this week has me moving very slow.
On the menu today is….
